This restaurant has a fantastic view and friendly staff. They prepare all their dishes fresh to order, and the food is excellent! Just note that they are only open during the day while we were on Koh Phayam.
During my recent travels to Thailand, I discovered Pom's Place and was delighted to find a diverse vegetarian menu with delicious dishes. Unlike other places in Thailand where vegetarian options can be limited to side dishes, Pom's Place offers creative and satisfying main courses. The fruit drinks are especially refreshing, with a natural sweetness that avoids the use of sugary syrups. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a great dining option in Thailand.
Pom’s place is a delightful, quiet spot, right on the beach and just north up the road from the pier. There’s two menus, one entirely veg (though a few items include oyster sauce, and eggs). Prices are very reasonable lower than the other tourist serving restaurants on the island’s main roads. Pom and her partner are also amazing. There’s genuine kindness and warmth from them, you won’t feel like just another patron. They talked with us while we ate about how the island has developed in the last decades, what life is like there, etc. They asked us about our home and our lives, (something no other host has done here in 6 days) and expressed real gratitude that we came by for a meal. Highly recommended! My favourite pad thai, and in my opinion, the most tastefully cooked tofu dishes on the island
