It never looked so inviting. Many months ago, a building part was added: a very neo-Gothic brick building that reminds me of the former dishes of the medieval council houses and stands in stark contradiction to modern housing construction. Now I took the whole thing in a closer look. The “Bistorante zum Storchennest” is a restaurant with a large beer garden and for small guests with playground. Parking can take place on the large private parking lot, because parking spaces on the B1 are not possible or only very limited. The early autumn weather allowed a visit to the appealing beer garden with a view of the name fork, but it was orphaned at the end of August. A modern guest room is then available for colder days. The beer garden was very well visited. Nevertheless, there was no waiting time in the service. The card was quickly placed and the order was received. The menu includes a range of dishes from German local and national cuisine (meat, fish, poultry, vegetarian, vegan) as well as a changing daily menu – all in the cheap to slightly elevated middle price segment. Since you don't find it so often in restaurants, I decided from the day ticket for the Kohlrug with salt potatoes and a small mixed salad (8,90 €uro), with a soft wheat (4,20 €uro). The drink came immediately after normal waiting time (under 15 minutes). A fairly large part then came to the table – a not exactly small meat pip not sparingly wrapped with numerous petals. I am tired and tasted – almost like mothers.... The “Strochennest” was a pleasant and good gastronomic rediscovery for me. I probably wasn't the last time...!
