I feel like this market has gotten overrated for some reason. There are no bathrooms except for a couple out houses, even though they serve food and sell food. There’s nothing on the website that warns you have this when you travel into the middle of nowhere to shop there. Also, when I asked if there is any restroom for someone who has a disability, they basically just yelled at me that “outhouses were outside and that was it.” I think they should be mentioning this right on their website! One employee was friendly and thanked us for coming… But in general just did not feel like a friendlier warm place to visit to shop for food items. The pie is OK, so I wouldn’t really rated higher than Dutch apple pie by Marie calendar, but that could just be me. We did not get the caramel covered apple pie which looked somewhat decadent but also a little too gooey for us. They also sell things like Cheese and sausage like most Wisconsin markets. It’s worth stopping at if you haven’t had too much coffee! But on a rainy summer day it was not fun to use a really gross outhouse. I felt like I was suddenly camping.
This is a great place to visit any time of the year. If you haven't tried the apple pie baked in a paper bag, then you must try it! My only complaint is during apple picking season, the traffic gets crazy around the intersection, and it's terrible if you just want to drive through to the next town.
Stopped here while visiting from Arkansas. This place was incredible. Good thing I don’t live there because I would be there every day. Had chicken pot pie for lunch it was amazing. It was actually enough for 2 people. Chocolate chip cookies were so good now I’m disappointed that we left the last of them with our grandchildren ?. We got an apple pie to take home for dinner that evening it was so good. My husband loved the grilled brats we got. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Wisconsin to visit family.
Haven't been here in several years, but still the best ham sandwiches for lunch and amazing large dill pickles. Great jerky, amazing salsa, and of course the pies. ?
