Jungle Jim's - Mulegé

This place was recommended to us by a local ex pat as well as our B&B owner. We went for rib night and all three people who ate ribs were sick. There were no visible bathroom facilities. Would not go back.

This establishment clearly caters to wintering northerners. But the food is good, portions generous, beer is cold and cheap, and the service unfailingly friendly. Not a bad place to spend time.

Limonatta with agua mineral was my drink and quesadillas my choice for food. They also have good chicken sandwiches. Be prepared to wait this is not a fast food option!

This is a local's bar, that serves good food. It is a gathering spot for Gringos on that side of the river. Every day of the week, they have different specials. We went on Thursday, which was chili rellenos night. I judge Mexican Restaurants on how they make the chili rellenos. It was great at Jungle Jims. The cheese was melted, the chilis were firm and flavorful.

If staying in Mulege not worth the trip unless you want to hang with expats and not locals. Food okay but not great. Nice setting along the river.
