I loved it from the beginning to the end. valet parking is available, which is absolutely necessary at the overloaded road. there are 2 sockets for which I write the review, the other is a cafe called pali cafe, which I will soon also visit. when we entered the square, we were in the position, and so we were asked to wait sometime until the seats were free. I also liked their idea to deliver the menu so we can order as we wait. this helped us get our order as soon as we sit. try the kala khatta when they are a teetotaller. I ordered a beer and banana leaf baked fish. bengalis eat a similar dish of bhetki baked with screed, but this was red snapper baked in a green chutney that was a combination of dhaniya, curd and chili. it was hot and totally enjoyed at my end and the amount was good enough for a meal. ideally divided between 2 people, as 3 pieces packed in banablatt for a change we also have tried a veg dish called besan palak kofta, which was unique and extremely tasty. we ate it with choora paratha. the gravur had a liberal dosis of besan along with kaju and tomato paste, while the kofta was made from palak. I must agree that it was one of the best kofta I've ever had. the staff was very fast and helpful and I am definitiw back
Heard so much about this place and we visited. Ambience was very unique with antique aesthetics. We ordered Matar tikki chat and it came deconstructed, visually appealing and tasted good as well. Later, we ordered Galouti kebab, taste was pretty good but the quantity was super less. For main course , we ordered Neer dosa and Alleppey fish curry. The fish curry tasted heavy coconuty and looks like readymade coconut milk was used which was so strong in taste and we couldn't eat and started feeling nauseous while consuming. Felt better only after we stopped eating and we all felt the same nauseous feeling while consuming. Not sure what was overpowering and gave that feeling. And we ordered Paan kulfi as dessert and it came wrapped in betel leaf, unexpected packing and tasted nice. And we ordered Peru Pyala Guava and spices juice which tasted yum. Overall a memorable experience! But definitely the team has to look into that fish curry preparation.
The place is great the ambiance is vintage i really love the vibe of this place. We just came to have a quick bite we ordered tomato soup and samosa papdi chaat
Food was really nice, i liked the decor a lot too! It was pretty hot though despite the fact that the AC was on, but they didn’t turn on the fans. The tandoori khumb (mushroom) was the best!
