If you take the scenic route RN9 from Salta to Jujuy, El Carmen is on the way (about 25km from Jujuy) and this small take away for empanadas is absolutely a great surprise. Myrta is the owner and she makes it, just two kinds: cheese from chicken, both nicely mixed with vegetables and baked to perfection at the place for you. Myrta as natural and local their ingredients are, and here we had the best empanada for a long time. The moving faces on avda centenario, see the picture, and has a small and shady courtyard where you are waiting for your empanadas, it is very rare to come over someone so enthusiastic about food and work. Congratulations Myrta, we hope that many will share our experience in the future.

La reina de las empanadas, lejos es el mejor luar de todo el norte para comer las verdaderas empanadas jujueñas con papa, inolvidables
