The place is very good.. exelent view of the paraguay river. the meal is very very good.. they have traditional food.. as fried yacare .. (yacare is a caiman).. recomended
I booked a table days prior to visiting Formosa because I wanted one on the terrace for the view. Unfortunately the weather was quite unstable so they set a table inside but in a great area of the restaurant nevertheless. We ordered a Picada Ribera plus Grilled Provolone, let me tell you it was more than enough for 3 people who were not so hungry. Price-wise we spent 50 usd. (food, non-alcoholic drinks, tip)
This is the second time I eat in this restaurant, two years apart, and still have the same opinion. Both times I had Yacaré, which is the tail of a small alligator, and would have it again. It was really, really good. I had the Yacaré al Paquete, a white, soft meat, cooked wrapped in aluminum foil together with local spices, vegetables and noisette potatoes. It the weather permits, try the terrace that faces the river. We took a rose wine with it and made a nice companion. A nice breeze might join you for the meal.
Very nice restaurant with a great view of the Paraguay River. Great variety including local dishes. The service was excellent. Delicious meals except for the steak that day.
