La Tasca

I ate here twice. Meals were of very good quality. The menu is varied and every meal was available! The ambience is very warm, the place is beautiful. Try her Jabali court and trout!

Our hotelier recommended this place but the reviews are less than stellar. We went anyhow, and had a great dinner. As Argentines eat late and we came early at 8pm and as it's the low season we had the place to ourselves. The platter of...cheese, smoked game and fish was great. My husband and I both followed with trout . He had the plain version and the waiter suggested the brown butter and capers version for me. Both were superb. The decor is a little kitschy but what the heck. The Malbec was also first class.

I had expected better due to some of the other reviews, but on a recent visit it proved purely ordinary. We later discovered far better places in San Martin (e.e. Torino).

Went to dinner with friends recently, it was a busy night but nevertheless our waiter was very rude, just because we spoke english he gave up on our table, some of the dishes we requested never arrived, the soup was not hot and food in...general okay, but not special. It had been recommended as the best in town.

I had dinner in La Tasca, after a couple of very good recommendations. It was worthy to go. The trucha al limon was delicious. The service was very good as well.
