Contribuisci feedbackAs a long time Donatos pizza connoisseur and once employee of the original Thurman Ave and S. High St. I am filled with joy to find out that Murfreesboro is blessed to have this ?South Side ? icon. It has been 20 plus years since I had this Central Ohio Delicacy. If Jim Grote sees this? Thank you Joe Apisa?s Nephew
We ate here when they first opened and hadn't been back until now and their pizza is so much better now. There is a lot of toppings.
This was the worst pizza I have ever had in Murfreesboro. It was similar to a cheap, low-quality frozen pizza. The peppers were completely raw and so spicy that they burned my mouth. There were huge chunks of uncooked jalapeños, some microwave cheese, and old bits of bacon thrown on top. It was inedible. It took over an hour for us to receive this. The pictures on their website do not accurately reflect the food they serve.
The meal was decent, but not exceptional. I ordered the large Don sub, which was reasonably priced for its size. However, I found it overly dressed in Italian dressing for my taste, and the sub appeared to have spent a bit too much time in the oven. I plan to come back and sample other items, and I will adjust my review based on that experience.
When I called, the staff was really friendly. They informed me that they only had one driver available, so the wait might be a bit longer than usual. I also asked about a military discount, and when our pizza arrived, the store had included a complimentary item for my partner, thanking him for his service. That was a really nice touch!
