Miss Essie's Southern Bbq - Murray

Had Miss Essie’s at a catered event and it was AMAZING! I could barely talk I was so distracted with how great the food was (ribs, chicken, beans, mac n cheese). I need there to be a food truck or a store or something!

On a whim I decided to try a business I'd never heard of before to cater our son's wedding rehearsal dinner for 70 guests. Everyone loved the food. We had bone-in chicken, mac and cheese (wonderful! , corn, spinach salad, Texas toast, brownie bites and lemon bars. There was plenty of main dish foods for everyone. If I were to recommend any improvement it would be regarding the desserts. There was not nearly enough. At least half of our guests didn't even get to try any because the lemon bars were cut so tiny and I think there was only portioned out one piece of dessert per guest. I did hear they were delicious. Also, the Texas Toast was not buttered or toasted. It was just plain bread from what I could tell. The lemonade was just from a Minute Maid can in powdered form—nothing special. But I emphasize that the main food was really superb. The delivery went well. One guy was scrambling on his own to get it all set up. I know it was a big undertaking. He did a great job.

Always DELICIOUS! Whether you 're ordering their carry out, catering, or BBQing at home with their sauce, Miss Essie 's is always on point! Their authentic Southern sauce definitely brings the south to your mouth! One of my favorites is brisket burnt ends with Miss Essie 's Original but I have tried it with all of them and they are all good!

I can't recommend Miss Essie's enough! Their food and service are always incredible and their catering options are great for any budget. Will definitely use them in the future !

Five Star Experience! I love that it is a family owned and operated company with recipe's passing down through the generations. Best kind of food. Marcus was great to work with. They were able to accommodate all of our needs. Will work with them again! They wont disappoint you.
