Mugsy's Hideout - Murray

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the chicken gyro, baked chicken, and pizza. All the dishes were delicious! The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively.

This was my first time trying this restaurant, and as someone from the north who loves Italian cuisine, I was eager to give it a shot. I ordered the meatball sub, and it exceeded my expectations. The meatballs were juicy, generously topped with sauce and mozzarella. The establishment was clean, and the service was excellent. I will definitely return!

This restaurant was fantastic. The servers were friendly and attentive with our orders. The prices were quite reasonable, and the food was delicious. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, which was a nice experience.

Transplanting from the Windy City, to West Tennessee, I guess I was expecting more. Atmosphere and service was on spot. No complaints and we tipped 25-30% based solely on those 2 experiences. As I said, I was expecting more as far as food goes. Gyro dinner was small. Fries galore. But 1 pita? And barely enough meat to make it an actual Gyro. Meat was shaved super thin. Sorry, expecting 2 pitas and enough meat, medium thickness, and enough for both pitas and at least 4 rollups at home...Now, the pizza...no matter how much the deep dish cheese pizza sat, set up as it cooled, it was runny . Thin crust cheese and Italian beef was undercooked, no part of the cheese was brown, beef was more like roast beef, as there was minimal flavor. It was about a 30 minute drive to this establishment. We have gladly drove 2+ hrs to get to a good meal. I guess we need to travel a little further next time. I must note again, the atmosphere was delightful. I loved the brick wall showing under the plaster. The dog gangster photos, all great! Our server, and the other 2 servers that were always checking on us as well...AMAZING!

We had a wonderful experience at Mugsy’s tonight! As transplants from the Chicagoland area, we were excited to have some authentic Chicago style food, and Mugsy’s did not disappoint! Great food, great service, and a fun and kind welcome from Jay, the owner. We will definitely become regulars!
