Contribuisci feedbackLast night in Ottawa for a conference, staying at nearby hotel, walked in a sat at the bar. Friendly staff, great selection of craft beers and wine by the glass. Ate a delicious chicken sandwich and sides. Affordable and good quality meal.
I have been a regular at this restaurant for many years. I usually order the salmon burger, which is always delicious. During my last visit, I decided to try the Chicken Dijon and pecan pie, both of which were excellent. It can be challenging to secure a table during busy hours.
What a great experience! Very friendly&helpful staff (Jeffrey . The soup of the day (roasted red pepper w chèvre, was sublime, as were the scallops, the special burger, and the nachos. House made pecan pie on a house made crust was excellent with coffee. Fun atmosphere. Definitely will be back
Upon arrival on Saturday night, there was a lineup as expected, but the wait was not too long. The restaurant was full inside, which made it feel a bit warm and stuffy while waiting to be seated. Luckily, we were offered a table on the lower level since the second level seemed crowded with little distance between tables. They had a jukebox machine, but it only played classic rock and folk music, which was a surprise to us. It was ironic that there was no French music, considering the restaurant's name is Chez Lucien! The portion sizes were generous for the price.
The atmosphere is great and the service is perfect. The seafood spaghetti and the snail are in the ocean of cheese. The confit duck is flavorful and its crust is amazing. The crepe is less than my expectation because the flavor of crepe is overwhelmed by the cream.overall it is a high quality meal.
