Contribuisci feedbackI visited this place on 10/29. The experience wasn't good. I just finished her doorstep because my son had a taste for wings, and this is the place he chose. When I came in, I felt like Eddie Murphy from this country bar scene in the movie for 48 hours. To say that no one has ever asked; can I help you or I will be with you. You totally ignored me. They weren't so busy. Maybe there were eight cars out there. That's why I left and went somewhere else. I don't think they serve the Eddie Murphy guy in this facility. In this area, why am I not surprised. We have another way to go.
It was okay. felt like a neighborhood bar, quite empty and dark. Admittedly, when we walked the sun, just went down, but they had pulled all shades in place. It can hop more during the season, but for a Friday night, even outside the season, it seemed empty. There were maybe 5 people at the bar and maybe 4 tables, including ours. They claim to be known for Wings and Ribs. I had the wings and we had Cheese Bits and Garlic Parm Fries as appetizers. Food was good, nothing special, but good. The atmosphere wasn't. Service for as empty as the place seemed missing. There were a few servers gathered around the hostess station, and what seemed to be an owner might talk all the time and ignore their customers. We had to fly our server several times. In a normal area we would probably go back, give them another chance, but in this area with so many restaurants to choose from, we will probably not.
Was here before and had a good service and the food was good. came back and it was a complete 180. Ordered the salad bar and had to take only 1 ride because they closed the salad bar. Our server went several times and did not ask if we wanted to refill our drinks. It took a while to get our wings we ordered, not knowing how the wings were because we worsened and left.
10/10 recommend this place! My husband and I have two years old and when we go, it's usually 50/50. Based on our toddler alone. Who knows how these little ones will be. We went in and he saw the little candy machine and immediately wanted a quarter we didn't have.. I sent my husband to the car to find one. The hostess gave him one thing because she asked him and he was so abandoned.. We then sat down and saw the menu, decided pizza was best for our picky eater. Our waitress, Ashley, came by, asked us if we were ready or were at least ready to order for our son, and she concentrated on him, and we love that! As parents, we know how annoying toddlers can be? but she made it a point to make sure he got exactly what he needed. Besides, the food was amazing. Service was great!! Yeah, they were short staff, but it never felt that way. They were on top. The manager came to check us and everyone else a few times. As a local, it is nice to have a place close to home that we can go and enjoy! We can't wait to go back!
We usually eat at Carolina Tavern every month or two when we?re looking for something different from our usual local hangouts. It seems the last few times we?ve been that the service tends to get a little worse each time. Why we continue to keep returning is beyond me. Tonight seemed to be going good the first five minutes or so. We got our drinks pretty quickly and our order was taken really fast as well. I ordered the salad bar as my 2nd side item and finally had to go ask for a salad bowl after our server never returned. I retrieved my own silverware for the table, as that was never brought as promised either. Finally after a very long wait, and listening to another table complain about the hour spent waiting for their food, our food finally arrived, or some of it at least, delivered by another server. Our server never once came to check to see if we needed anything, or to see that my husband never received his meal, that my side was missing, or that my son was out of water. Nothing, never saw her. She was completely mia for 7-8 minutes and then when she resurfaced, she spent her time hugging one of the patrons at the bar. The only 2 tables she appeared to have were the two that waited forever for food. Then a manager came over and did apologize and said she would do what she could to discount our meal. She then added that the owner was on site and that she would try to talk to him but ?he really doesn?t like to hear me complain? ????? The owner never came by to discuss anything and she returned with our check, and our meal being discounted $12. I appreciate the discount and never asked for that. I would have rather had the owner at least come by to talk to us. We will now knock this one off of our list to ever give another chance. The owner doesn?t care enough to even give you 5 minutes of his time.
