Black Bear Diner - Murrieta

Had a great experience here! The food is so comforting and delicous. The Hornbrot was surprisingly good!!! I and my friend thought it was a cookie and we don't usually eat cookies, but I had a bit of it and it was so soft! Our server told us that it was actually a corn bread. ?

Me? ve has been to this and the other in Long Beach a few times and I always had a decent experience. This last time, it was just a little too much because of the hash browns. Look at pictures. Hands down, the nastiest Hash Browns I've ever had. I asked for extra crispy, so not sure if that had anything to do with it, but I don't think because it wasn't burned. It had a very strange taste. But beyond that, everything else was fantastic. The Huckleberry Shake and Berry Lemonade were both great as the food was. The plate of my brother, the filled French toast and the sausages were bombs. My steak and eggs and casting were also good.

My pictures don't make the place justice. The restaurant is a decent size decorated so unique with wood and bears cabin feel. You have baby clothes for sale when entering the restaurant and other items right next to the music box. Doesn't look right. You also see cake slices and minicakes for sale. I bought the chocolate cake. It still has to try. Staff are really nice, welcoming, professional and accommodating. It's really busy. We waited about 15 minutes for placement. Maybe 20 minutes waiting for our food. Both waiting times were average for such a facility. Prices are slightly higher than other surrounding restaurants / restaurants. But the food is so worth it! Portions are decent and the food is delicious. My Arnold Palmer also tasted better here than other restaurants. The menu is a bit overwhelming because it's like a newspaper. It has a number of other information that has nothing to do with the menu. The whole writing does not mix in any color or images. You use a symbol next to larger foods if you are really hungry. I think they also have vegetarian options and a children's menu. The restaurant has a relaxation room. The place was kept clean. Definitely recommend and definitely return. Maybe you have no luck with the parking lot because it's small.

The bear paws little chicken fried steak was good, crispy on the outside and juicy meat inside. the engraving was good, not typical salty, but I didn't really like the potato. The taste was strange, tangie, not a real potato taste. I came back because I love looking at the wooden bear decoration.

So we have drove past this place a few times and finally went inside. It is super cute inside! I love all the bear stuff! The vibe was totally there! We got there on a Saturday morning and was seated pretty quickly. It was around 10 am. I was very quick to be disappointed because they were out of the cinnamon French toast and the huckleberry lemonade. You know when you have something on your mind and when you can?t have it, nothing else sounds good? Well, that was me. I settled for two sweet cream pancakes. My husband got the grizzi. We got the cub bear pancakes for my son. The bear pancakes are super cute! I will give that to them. The sweet cream pancakes were pretty delicious and my husbands meal was allot! Overall, the food was very good. I was just disappointed they were out of the food I really wanted. Another discouraging moment was once our server dropped off the food she never came back to see if we needed anything. My husband was waiting for 10 mins to ask for Tabasco and he finally just went up to the host and asked for. They also only gave us two sets of silverware for our family of 3? I will definitely be coming back to try those items and update my review.
