Situated on Govindappa Naicken Street, near flower bazaar, the oldest sweet shop in Chennai, I am visiting this shop from the 1970’s, my childhood days. Rasamalai, Basundhi, Samosa and Lassi these four items are a must try here and I can challenge, this taste cannot be matched with any sweet shop in Chennai. <br/ <br/ Apart from these items, Kaju Kathili, Badam Halwa which costs Rs.2000/ per kg Sweet Potato Mixture are special here. <br/ <br/ The one and only best Sweet shop in Chennai.<br/ <br/ A MUST TRY for all in Chennai<br/ <br/ Location 4.0/5.0; Ambience 4.0/5.0; Food 5.0/5.0; Service 4.0/5.0; VFM 5.0/5.0
Awesome place, it has not changed a bit over the years including the TASTE. Brings back the childhood memories. keep up the good work. Love the samosa and sweets.
Too expensive , but quality is top notch . A simple kulfi costs about 130. So heading for icecreams is not a good option. But thier sweets especially the wheat halwa is to die for.
I remember when I was 5 years old and my parents took me to this place to have a little snack. Their lassi has always been a staple and the taste has not changed a bit. They are famous for their jaangris and samosas. I tried their kachori for the first time and wasn't disappointed at all. It was crispy and flaky unlike the other kachoris I had in the past. Their kesar malai lassi was awesome. I loved the chutneys they served with the samosas n kachoris btw.Prices are on the expensive side though.Definitely worth trying.P.s. there is no parking facility available for cars.
