A favourite of ours in the garlic prawns. A touch pricey, but otherwise tranquil surrounds after a long drive, that's if it's not school holidays.
Pies were delicious. We had 3 varieties. They only sell pies and sweets. All yummy. Staff polite. Inside seating area tidy and clean. Outside eating area a bit jumbled with chairs along the path. Made for difficult maneuvering of a walker for patrons. Tables needed wiping down, which was done immediately once staff were told. All up a lovely place to stop for a bite.
We came here to get a vegan cake or pasty just to let down. from the whole business, including hearty and sweet, they only have one option that is a vegan sweet cake, not worth the $9? the cake was filled with undercooked zucchini and without taste. To be honest, the cakes of 7/11 run crawl around it. that's not worth it.
The pies are delicious, and the coffee used to be great. However, they now serve it scalding hot, causing the beans to taste burnt. It takes a while for the coffee to cool down enough to drink. We have been served scalding coffee twice now. Please lower the temperature on the coffee machine. We had to throw out the coffee as it tasted horrible. I would like a cash refund.
This restaurant is worth stopping at for delicious pies and unique kangaroo-themed artwork. The prices are a bit high for the pies, but there are no other options in the area. Despite the cost, the pies are very tasty.
