There is also no charge here to taste the wines.As I have an interest, I was able to taste a wide selection of their wines.They are high quality!As it was a little quieter, we were also given a short tour of the winery!Fantastic!To top it off (hehe) my lady was able to enjoy a coffee, sitting outside in the sun, while I was busy!Well worth the experience!Thanks!
Tämä ravintola oli moderni ja tyylikäs. Kaunis ympäristö! Tarjoilu oli moitteetonta. Alkupalat maistuvat ja kaikki annokset kauniit. Valitettavasti pihvini oli tosi sitkeä, pihviveitselläkin sai tehdä kunnolla töitä. Loistava viinisuositus!
We recently went out to Balgownie (Bendigo) for lunch. Formally the cellar had cafe style food which was always lovely but it now has a French inspired restaurant. The four of us shared a charcuterie platter to start with and it was superb. Everyone also loved their mains and the wines were, of course, excellent. I’ve got to say the new chief has really transformed this cellar door and I look forward to visiting again. A lovely lunch!
Had ourselves an excellent lunch here today! The sun was shining ,the sky was blue, the service was great and the food impeccable! I believe they have a new chef who has only been with them four weeks and the food has a definitey French leaning and was excellent. We can vouch for the twice baked goats cheese soufflé with Waldorf salad and the grass fed Angus scotch fillet with Cafe de Pris butter. And of course, a glass of their rose. After recently eating at a very expensive Mornington Peninsula winery, I have to say the food here was just as good but significantly cheaper! We followed lunch with a wine tasting (and purchase) before leaving as very satisfied customers who will definitely come back and will recommend to friends.
Have been here previously and never had a problem, but my most recent visit was very disappointing. Everything was too hard, took forever to be served, snighed remarks and eye rolling and to top it off our bill was mixed up, coming to an extra $200 more expensive than it should be. Lucky the food was delicious and the scenery was beautiful.Not sure I'll be returning or recommending to others unfortunately. It's really not that hard to treat your customers with some respect..
