Lil Tokyo - Myrtle Beach

The food was good and matched my expectations. Nothing particularly stood out, but we had a delightful time overall.

I visited the restaurant to savor some sushi and ordered the Unbelievable Roll along with an Eel BBQ Roll. While the flavor was acceptable, the presentation left much to be desired. Considering the Unbelievable Roll costs $21.99, I expected more attention to detail in its appearance, as we naturally eat with our eyes first. Additionally, the sushi was cut so unevenly that each piece was a different shape and size, which was quite disappointing.

There was no indication that an 18% tip would automatically be added to the bill, regardless of the size of our group. While the chef was excellent, the food itself was just average hibachi—nothing extraordinary. Given the price, I expected a more impressive experience. In my opinion, the best options in the area are Miyabi just north of Myrtle Beach and the one in Murrells Inlet. Unfortunately, Lil Tokyo was the only restaurant I knew of that was open for lunch on Sunday.

Went yesterday with a party of 12 Service was amazing , food was excellent I had filet and shrimp , the filet was melt in your mouth ! Everybody was wonderful, kind and respectful. This place is a must try and be sure to grab a mint on your way out they are wonderful ! I always say that it’s the little things in life !

All my son wanted for his birthday was hibachi. We took him to Lil Tokyo and he loved it! The service, the entertainment and the food was perfect. He's already requesting Lil Tokyo for his next Birthday!
