For appetizers we chose the shark bites that were really delicious, but the spices were missing when they called it 'cajun'. For my meal, the Fantail Shrimp was sautet. The best part of the dish was the potatoes I substituted for the frits. The shrimps were good, but again lacked in taste. I needed a lot more butter or something to call it great. Overall, the experience was really great and the food was satisfactory. Since it was a big bill for the two of us for two dinners and an appetizer, I really expected more Pizazz with the actual food.
The parking lot is sucked, but was the food good? After at least 15 minutes drive we finally decided to have a 20 $ 2 hours parking space, which still needs 5 10 minutes walk. It was scenic, but still... On arrival we sat within 10 minutes. Drinking orders. There is a fair amount of mixed drinks and beer. Also here are the usual sodas. A member of our party ordered an appetizer, Shark Bites, they are not really shark meat, but they are very good. I ordered a duck from Pier Tacos and I got it in shark form. After a 20-minute waiting period or party of 10 we received our food. The tacos were very good. Very light fish taste and a heavy Coleslaw taste, but they were very good. All in all, when I come back to Myrtle Beach, you can bet I'll come back to Pier 14 for some food and mixed drinks. I'd recommend it. There is a great pier you can pay $1 walking, and there is a gift shop on site. Parking sucks. Enjoy! Staff: 4 Stars Food: 4 Stars Time: 3 Stars Cleanliness: 4 Stars
Pier 14 is one of our most popular places in Myrtle Beach and we stop there every year for lunch or dinner we visit! The food is amazing and so is the view/atmosphere. This year was our BEST experience! Thomas was our server and he made our visit so much better. He's very attentive, polite, friendly, just a stunning guy! I think first impressions are all, Thomas is a really big individual, with a huge heart, and he loves what he does. Hard worker, great conversation, we will be back and demand Thomas every time we visit! You should, because he makes the whole experience bigger, then you can imagine! Ask Thomas!
Went on Memorial day around 1pm. They don 't do reservations but luckily when we arrived they had a table for 11. Food was good. Hubby got Shrimp Po Boy looked amazing. My daughter got ravioli. I got shrimp tacos with veggie of the day instead of fries. The hush puppies should be called what they are corn fritters. Great with the honey butter. I was hoping they were like the hush puppies at red lobster back in the day. The shark bites were good. A little spicey with the seasoning for the kiddos. All in all it was good and our waiter was very attentive to our needs. Great pier with an amazing view. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked for a holiday....would definitely visit again.
Great location. We dined on the patio. There was live music while we were there. Great vibes. Service was quick. Food arrived hot, drinks arrived cold. Would def recommend this spot while you?re visiting MB. We had the mozzarella sticks, shark bites, tacos and fish and chips.
