River City Cafe - Myrtle Beach

Absolutely the best! The food is delicious and, as Barry says, it's cooked with love. Emily is incredibly efficient and such a lovely person. I may not know all the staff names, but this is definitely a fantastic spot for burgers, drinks, and a great atmosphere.

I approached the bar to order a drink, but the manager informed me that he didn't have any staff available to serve me and that they were only taking care of customers at the tables. It was important to note that the place wasn't busy at all, and neither was the manager. When I asked why I couldn't be served, he replied that he was the manager and there was no one to attend to me. This corporation really needs to improve its customer service and learn how to treat loyal customers better. A manager, of all people, should know better than this.

I had the best burger and onion rings ever! The waitress was fantastic and very attentive. I believe the burger was called the bacon ranchero. I’m not usually a fan of burgers, so for me to be impressed really speaks volumes. The onion rings were enormous, about the size of my hand. They were wonderfully crunchy with great flavor. The seasoning on both the burger meat and the onion ring batter was just perfect. We were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted to eat somewhere close instead of going out again, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any photos because, after the first bite, it disappeared quickly!

We just came in from the beach and decided to grab a quick snack. We ordered the cheese pops, and they were delicious. It's a seasonal establishment, and I believe they mentioned they close in October.

I can't speak to the quality of the food because we ended up leaving after waiting an hour and a half. The waitress seemed completely indifferent. Then a manager offered to comp our meal, but we never received anything. We saw three other tables that arrived after us get their food before we did. It was clear it was time to go! We were given a bunch of excuses ranging from certain dishes being out to the business being sold. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.
