Scalisi's Chicago Pizza More

Saddly lacked flavor. Took 30 minutes for 2 basic cups of water to be brought out. Had the fried Calamari, which were basically shriveled up fish sticks and was only given 6 pieces and it cost 7.99. Not worth it. Horrible service, I understand that staff get bored and may want music to listen to, but having an airpod and not paying attention to my order is on the disrespectful side. The waiter asked if i needed a plate I said yes and never brought it to me or remembered that I had asked for plates. Atmosphere was bland honestly I wasnt sure what the vibe was suppose to be. Was it Italian, was it Irish, was it Mexican? No clue. Oh and they charge an extra fee for procruement when using a card, not a big deal but it was never mentioned nor is it a well established place to do this in my opinion. You 're better trying some place else.

I was surprised to find out that Scalisi's had moved from their old location off of 281. I had been wanting to try their deep dish ever since I moved into the RGV nearly 5 years ago.I must say it did not disappoint. The flavor of the sauce is amazing, the pull on the massive amount of cheese and the firmness of the crust, just WOW!I was lucky enough to meet Ms. Scalisi herself and we had an amazing, warm and wholesome chat about their story and how the RGV has been growing steadily since COVID. We have all gone through hardships and Scalisi's is no exception.Make sure you bring your family to enjoy these authentic Chicago style pizzeria and support our local small businesses. I promise you won't regret.Next visit I'll make sure to try the shrimp or tuna pizza which is something I haven't had in decades or a custom built tomato, onions and garlic. Yum!! Can't wait!
