We were placed directly under a defective ceiling fan supported by a table, a chair, a chair, a large tub or bucket and a piece of wood with nails that stick out of it. I'll take a wild queen that this isn't according to the code. On the wonderful death trap that looked over our table, our server was terrible. I'm not sure if she doesn't like children or just not like people in general, but there was nothing warm or greeted about them. She made us feel like an inconvenience and she had no idea what someone ordered. Food is mediocre. We will not return.
My family and I stay with Topsail every year, and this restaurant is a cornerstone for us every year. The room and the ambience are excellent, and besides the massive windows to sit with a view of the sea makes for an enchanting culinary experience. The food is also excellent, from fried seafood to tasteful entrees. The Shrimp Appetizer is a special standout! I recommend this restaurant, it is definitely the best place to eat in Topsail.
That is great, but that is what it is. my steak was over boiled, I asked that it is medium and it was done well in the round. the restaurant was very warm, we heard other guests asking for the change of the change and the waitress said it was already. our drinks were left empty for a very long time, and two of the employees we were interacting with were somewhat rude? we also asked that the crab dip to go, and they put it between two foils made of aluminum foil that makes it impossible to heat up. not worth it overall.
Magnificent sea view and very picturesque for a high-time ceremony and recipe and good food. the high-time coordinator is also part of the banquet staff, so $800 is too much for this service, otherwise price is fair. there was no coordination between dj and brautparty processional with regard to timing and music. they also forgot the coffee and tee service. we discussed a toast and I accepted champagne, but it was not understood/ although they did not charge me for it, so I take some responsibility. Email the owner and manager without answer to the missing coffee and tea service and bad wedding coordinator service without answer!
Our group ordered the shrimp and grits, California burger, one seafood platter with flounder and oyster and the second with flounder and shrimp. Thankfully the flounder and shrimp comes broiled or fried but the oysters only come fried. You can?t mix the two ways of preparation. So any oyster combination must be fried. The place was quite busy. It was going to be a 45 min wait so we went to the bar. It seemed that it still took that long to get our food. The wait staff did their best to get to each table. Our waitress noticed that only 3 of our dinners had been served and asked if the 4th dinner had been mentioned as if were it not already promised to arrive soon, she was going into the kitchen to raise hell. The food was perfectly cooked and with lots of butter taste. I thought, based on the size of the menu, they had a good variety, even a vegan burger.
