This local bar is the southernmost watering hole in the USA. Swing by for a drink and snap a photo while you're there. It has a laid-back Hawaiian vibe that you'll love.

We visited on a Monday night when only the owner was on duty. He managed five different tabs while serving everyone with warmth and sincerity. If you're expecting a Kona vibe, you might want to go to Kona instead, as this is a very small town. Many of the negative reviews seem to come from people who don’t quite understand Hawaii. This place is ideal for what it offers, and the owner is genuinely a great person. We had a wonderful experience, and the food was excellent. We ordered the Korean chicken and a bacon cheeseburger, along with a beer and a mixed drink, and everything was fantastic!

I can't provide a rating for the food since I didn't get to eat there. I walked in at 2 PM, and there was only one other group present, but nobody from the staff was visible. A sign instructed us to wait to be seated, but unfortunately, there was no one around to assist us. We waited for 10 minutes, and still no one came to help, so my review is mainly about the lack of service.

I would leave no stars if I could. This place is not hospitable and was not busy ...to the extent that you...as a customer...would be ignored. I was doing a loop with a friend of the big island and we stopped at this place, since she hadnt been to this establishment since 2004. During 2004 she had a great experience..but today....there was only one server. A tall girl who did not seem concerned who came in. We sat down for 20 minutes....grabbing our own menus....and the server gave us no eye contact. I literally said hi and nodded my head, and she SLOWLY walked by. I didnt want to sound loud, so I texted my friend about the rudeness of the server. I tried one last time to communicate. The moment I asked if we could be helped...she said I 'm not the one to help you and referenced someone else....that I didnt even see...and she walked away. At that point, it was time to go. Locals and others might like this spot....but its obvious that they dont want business from tourists and maybe they 're doing it as a side project, because the main tall server girl....and she knows who she is... will continue losing money for this place. All she had to say is.... "Ill be right with you or someone will be with you. ' ' ' But, she didnt even do that. She literally looked away from me when I looked at her directly. My friend and I both saw how rude she was and decided to blow this place up on Google. Avoid this place at all costs. Go to the Sweetbread Bakery up the road. They will greet you and make better food than what you get here. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE. And anyone who writes a one star review....BELIEVE THEM. Especially the one who had over 13 people state the review was helpful. Obviously, the rude service means this job means nothing to the server or more importantly, the owner.
