As I visited this restaurant about 2 years ago for breakfast, which I remember it was nice reasonable. This time, I called in at 2pm, to get some dinner/lunch while I was in Naas. First impressions when I walked in, it reminded me of a grandmothers kitchen, the decor was old fashioned with square tablecloths on old tables. However, it was fairly busy, which is always a good sign. The manager suggested that I go to the bar area at the back, as there was more seating available in there, and it was a lot more appealing to the eye, newer renovated (much better looking . The lounge lady was very helpful polite, she read out the special and told me Lamb or beef was on the roast option. In fairness, there was alots of different options food choices to choose from (chicken dishes, vegetarian dishes, burgers fish options too, to be honest I didn 't see any 'Gluten Free ' options other than vegetable soup , a bit lacking with the steak options, being a steakhouse, which is surprising (maybe it 's different in the evening in fairness . I went for the lamb dinner option with vegetables (which came with either Carrotts or peas, which was a bit limited for a vegetable option, it wouldn 't take much to have the likes of cabbage, broccoli or Turnip on the lost either . The food came out fairly quick, and the lamb was very nice indeed (soft and well cooked the Stuffing, gravy, mash spuds and roast spud was also nice, along with the Carrotts on the side. The cost for the carvery/roast of the day was €16.50, so it 's on the higher end pricing, compared to other hotels in the surrounding area, but it was nice. The one thing I didn 't like was that while I was about to eat my dinner, one younger lounge staff lady came into the area where myself and other customers were eating and started loudly giving out to the manager other old staff members about lack of staff in the first area and commanding them out, which really should be discussed privately. But other than that, it was just nice food (maybe slightly overpriced for what you get , but the food done the job and make sure to seat in the back area (which I took pictures of , as the first entrance/ area looks like something from the 70 's :
The staff were very helpful, the food was good and we were looked after well. My burger and chips were nice nothing out of this world but very nice. The corned beef my partner got was apparently amazing though, so if she was reviewing this it'd probably be 5/5 haha. So bear that in mind. Big portions too, so you won't go hungry. Honestly really recommend it's not in the middle of naas so very easy to get parking too!
Lovely hearty dinner, very reasonably priced, manager waitress very friendly helpful. As a wheelchair user they wanted to get me a comfortable table/seating, which they did. We ate in the bar, great atmosphere, very lively. Plenty of seating outside also. Bar is open 7 days a week serving food, showing matches, racing etc new large screen tv. You have the option also to eat in their casual restaurant 7 days a week they have a larger dining room also, not sure if that's only open on a sun or throughout the week. I'd only ever eaten in restaurant part before but in future I'll be going into the bar. Great spot worth a visit, great parking also, don't know if toilets are accessible as I didn't use them.
Highly recommend 5 Service by mairead couldn't do enough for us my steak was over cooked I said it would do and she got it changed for me
Visited yesterday evening went into the bar for some dinner before going to the dance, two very friendly girls in the bar, food was served quick and was very tasty, the dancing was very busy but the girl serving was still very friendly and managed to serve everyone quickly. Will definitely be back soon and looking forward to it.
