The place is run by a cute elderly couple. Unfortunately, I saw the elderly woman heat up the unagi with a microwave oven, instead of grilling it on the spot. The price point (2,600 yen) was too high for food prepared with the microwave. But I saw some live eels in a pond at the entrance to the restaurant, so the ingredients are fresh.
Unagi restaurant run by an elderly couple. We ordered the medium grade set lunch, which came with 5 portions of eel. Unfortunately, the eel was heated up by microwave and lacked freshness. Instead of being crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, it was slightly soggy on the outside and dry on the inside. Also, the price does not justify the quality of food, since it is rather pricey and the food is just heated up by microwave.
Delicious alirium set, from aromatic aal, soft rice to the fragrant soup! the entrance and the shop has come down a bit, but the hospitality is really top-class. the menu was in Japanese, but the tante that served us explained the options (with japanese and sign language): 4-piece set 2,600 yen, 5-piece set 3,200 yen as well as Donburi options. we went with 4 pieces for each of us and the amount was exactly right. around 19 clock on a week night and just one more table next to our group in the shop. overall it is charming, and eating is great, and we love the friendliness of the dancing!
Accidentally found this historic Aal expert restaurant. the aal was lively and freshly prepared with carbon fire. very tasty. the services were great and the waitress will tell them to see the preparation of the live label in the kitchen. despite the entire environment including the floor covering were aged or antique as sitting, we all enjoy this beautiful lunch with eel rice in box very much.
