We went for a Sunday lunch with a diverse group ranging in age from 1 to 90, and there was something for everyone. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. A note of caution: if you're visiting with young children, be mindful of the open water areas near the entrance. The Sunday roast was very good, especially the perfectly cooked roast beef. Overall, I would rate the service a 5 and the location a 4.

The food and service were wonderful, however we were not informed that we needed to provide our vehicle registration upon arrival. This led to a parking fine, the appeal for which was rejected despite providing a card statement. Excellent £300 meal for 6 certainly won't be repeated. Service: 5 Location: 5

We had a reservation for a birthday lunch on Sunday for five of us at 2 PM, but no one came to take our order until 2:45 PM. The food quality was excellent, consistent with our previous experiences. By 4:30 PM, we were ready to order dessert, but after waiting about 10 minutes without any service, I had to find a staff member to bring us a menu. After we finished our desserts, I requested the bill so we could leave promptly, but it never came. I had to search for someone again to get it. When the bill finally arrived, I was told a card machine would be brought to us, but we waited another 10 minutes with no sign of it. Eventually, I decided to take the bill to the bar to pay. It really seemed like the dining area was understaffed during busy times, and later in the afternoon, it appeared that many staff members were either on break or no longer there. We finally left at 5:30 PM.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The superior room was just that and the bath in the bedroom was incredible! Food at the restaurant was amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommend the pork riblets starter. If you like cosy, warm and traditional venues, I'd highly recommend a stay here.
