The intimate setting only accommodates about 20 people, so reservations are essential. The local cuisine was delicious, especially the pot of light grey snails. The wine selection was also top-notch. I highly recommend this charming establishment owned by a delightful elderly couple. I will definitely be returning!
We decided to try this restaurant because we were intrigued by the 2015 Gaultetmiau menu. However, we found the atmosphere to be lacking, with no background music, and our Orval beers were served too cold. The shrimp croquettes and Ardennes bread were not impressive, and the rabbit and vegetable lasagna lacked flavor. We were surprised that this award-winning establishment did not accept credit cards. The only positive was the good wine, but we will not be returning.
This restaurant has a unique atmosphere that makes you feel good for no particular reason. The wine selection is reminiscent of your grandmother's generously rich cooking, almost as if you were back in her kitchen with her. The locally sourced organic cuisine prioritizes quality ingredients over presentation, which some may find reminiscent of cafeteria food. However, the flavors are delicious and keep you coming back for more. The owner's selection of wines at affordable prices adds to the charm of the place. The menu tends to feature cheese-based dishes, which may not appeal to everyone. Overall, this restaurant offers a unique dining experience that is worth a try.
Small restaurant in the namur pedestrian who is worth the detour. the rabbit with pears with potato cut into thick pucks spent in the oven has enchanted our taste buds. the white wine chosen and advised by the boss enhanced the pleasure of the meal. Finally, the apotheosis with dessert: a simple piece of reheated cassonade pie with a ball of speculoo ice. the frame is typical of the old namur, the boss of a certain age is professional, we did not have the pleasure to see Madame but we heard him give instructions in the kitchen. Be careful, this restaurant is not open every day. restaurant with organic products and region.
I went back to two in this restaurant. my choice was guided by the possible vegetarian dishes and organic. Once on the spot surprise! a family setting, a type of bistrot native to a friendly simplicity. organic wine choices, a simple scalable and seasonal menu short a good-sense cuisine and no superfluous artifice. then of grace do not always stop design but rather taste! for me never two without three;
