Stopped for a refreshment after a family gathering, wonderful find out in the country.Beautiful location and landscaping inside and outside dining to a traditional english pub fare. Tried the Merridale cider -- what a treat.

More English than most pubs in England. A great selection on the menu, well prepared and tasty. Eat inside or out in the garden. Winter presents a cozy intimate atmosphere gathered around their big wood fireplace. It's a place to have a meal and drink for any occasion but don't rush. The staff are helpful and friendly. Make a visit to the Crow and Gate a must for your next occasion.

Love the food the selection of beer and wine . Garden is beautiful year round. Great location ..... Favorite dinner is the ploughman platter !!!!!!! Oh oh love Stilton cheese

Excellent experience. Ample parking. Good selections. Polite staff. Clean. Busy. Nice gardens. Ponds. Inside & outside seating.

Went there for an early dinner. You have to get there around 4.p.m to get a table, it packs up very quick. Food is very English where you can enjoy a good ploughmans meal. Try the loaded beef dip. yummy.....They do not sell French fries. meals come with salad and a small potato salad. A very nice garden to sit in and eat your meal. Children under 19 years not allowed in.
