Delicado's - Nanaimo

I love this restaurant, food amazing and customer service even better! Everyone who works here has such a nice mood and the shop itself has so much character! The deli nachos and great Burrito was great! Can't wait to come back

I started going to Delicados when the original opened on Fitzwilliam St, and then was a regular place on Wesley Street. It was always consistently good food and good value. Unfortunately, the North Nanaimo site does not have the same standards and over the years...from going, it really has rejected. My last visit (and my last visit) the food was really sub par. The packs were half as large as before. My men's shrimps were fishy and off. My veg wrap was totally dirty. Even the salsa who used to be my favorite was totally bland. The prices have been increased since I was last, so we really felt demolished for what we received. Waiting as usual was long. It won't go back.

I was asked how sharp I wanted it. Repeated: spicy, came home to find out, it was not only spicy, but it had no heat at all. Well, I had my own warmth. What a... waste. I can do a better job, what a waste.

We have been frequenting this restaurant for many years and it has usually been good. However, lately it has not been up to par. They have forgotten to include items such as salsa and sour cream, even when we specifically asked if they were included. The salads are not as good as they used to be and the prices seem to be on the rise. Perhaps they are just going through a rough patch. Hopefully they will return to their former glory soon.

I was in the north end of town and wanted a quick, healthy lunch, so I decided to try Delicado's, a small locally owned restaurant. I ordered a roll-up on a bed of spinach instead of a wrap, which sounded like a great option. However, the spinach turned out to be soggy and wilted, likely from being warmed up. For $11, I received a small portion of spinach, a small amount of chicken, beans, corn, sprouts, and spicy mayo. Unfortunately, I had to wait over 30 minutes for my food, which was disappointing. While the quality and taste of the food were okay, the poor value and long wait time make me hesitant to return in the future.
