Lee's Chicken - Nanaimo

They didn't give us half of the stuff we had ordered and didn't want to reimburse us. The manager is a thief.

For about 15 visits in about 4-5 years. Eating was always good, no problems. Move over KFC. Read reviews from 2015, but today, it had again, still great

If this were the only chicken place available i swear i would go vegan! The only word that comes to kind is BLAND. The gravy, watery like it was a soup, had less flavor than water- if that were possible. The wedges, pretty much the...same- breaded but zero flavor. It 's like the chef used NO SPICES in the making of the 'breading '. Tasteless is the only word that can describe it. The chicken itself was average- and that is being very generous. The so-called spicy pieces had as much kick to them as a one legged mule! The macaroni salad underwhelmed and the potato salad was very basic. All in all, a very disappointing meal and one that shall never be repeated. If you absolutely must have fried chicken and there are no alternatives within a 20 mile radius, eat here

Both kinds of chicken are very good, I much prefer their spicy chicken products, offered in chicken pieces, chicken strips and an excellent spicy chicken sandwich. This sandwich has considerable kick, and the ciabatta bun is one of the freshest and most flavourful I've received...from a fast food restaurant. The garnishes are on point and while it can be rather messy, it is thoroughly enjoyable. If you have a choice between chicken strips or boneless chicken breast for the sandwich, wait for the boneless breast. It is large, succulent and about as good as they get. They also offer a BBQ chicken sandwich, which was very satisfying as well. Their poutine is hands down the best in Nanaimo, and the large poutine at $6.99 is a great deal and a meal in itself. Their choice of side dishes are really quite extensive. Their biscuits are very good. The wedge fries are particularly yummy. Their gravy is perfect with their poutine, biscuits and mashed potatoes. Their poutine and chicken sammys are the yummiest in the Nanaimo region.

We do not recommend this place at all. We paid extra for all white meat but did not receive it. The 3-piece chicken dinner for $13.79 did not come with fries. The meal was lukewarm, dry, and not fresh. The drink machine had no ice, so the drinks were flat and warm. The 3-piece chicken meal with fries ended up costing over $20. The restaurant was dirty and outdated, and the staff was unhelpful and unprofessional. Would not recommend this place at all.
