Riso Foods - Nanaimo

Initially, I was concerned that the prices were a bit high, and I feared we might be disappointed. However, it turned out to be an exceptional experience. The restaurant is beautiful, modern, and impeccably clean. Every aspect of the trio dip and the meals was delightful and well-balanced. Our server was amazing, and it turned out to be Katerina, the owner's daughter. I can't wait to return! I highly recommend this place!

This restaurant is truly amazing! Our server was Katerina herself, and her dad and bother made our wonderful meal. The service was top notch. We shared the saganaki as an appetizer and the platter for two as a main and everything was fresh and delicious. The feta cheese (and olives and oil) flown in from Greece is the best feta we’ve ever had. I don’t recall ever actually enjoying baklava until tonight. We are leaving with enough food to feed us for another meal (in to-go containers that can be reused) and I can guarantee we will be back soon!

Very good food. Good local beer on tap, middle of the road wine list. Three of us ordered the Greek platter for two, but there was enough food for three. The platter was served in courses so the meat was cooked to order.The lamb was amazing. The service by the Chef/owner's wife was lovely and very friendly. The Greek salad could have used a bit more lemon but that's me; I love lots of citrus. Well done. We'll be back.

I highly recommend this restaurant! I decided to visit after hearing about it on Chek News, and I was not disappointed. The meal was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the food, especially the side salad. The dessert was average, but I wasn't bothered by it. The interior is beautiful, and the patio looks lovely. I’ll definitely be back when the weather is warmer!

I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is lovely and the Greek dishes we had were wonderful. We started with the calamari and then we had Moussaka and Lamb for enteees. All were perfectly prepared. The owners are lovely and welcoming and have all the safety protocols in place for Covid. Check it out!
