Contribuisci feedbackThe best Thai food I’ve had on Vancouver Island. Som Tam is my favourite. The only downside is that I live in Courtenay and wish you could open another restaurant in the Comox Valley so I could eat there every day!
Chefs special is always my go to when ever I visit this place. Last time I ordered duck curry and it was fabolous! Also if you are a peanut sauce lover should try fried tofu. The peanut sauce is unbeliavable!
On a short vacation to Nanaimo for a few days and discovered this gem! We ordered takeout for the first night and food was very delicious, portion was right and was prepared very quickly after ordering! We then came back a second time just before we leave to return back to Vancouver and tried their lunch specials! It was all so amazing! Definitely recommend and will come back when we visit the island again! We tried the following items: Pad Thai (a bit on a sweeter side) Green curry w/ beef Roasted duck curry Pad krapow w/ pork (highly recommended) Crab fried rice (highly recommended) Tom kha soup Moo Gratiem (Garlic pork)
I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, served quickly and made with fresh ingredients. The restaurant is owned by a charming couple who are mindful of my dietary restrictions. I have never encountered any problems with my orders due to my dairy and egg intolerances.
They only do take out when we went here, no dine in yet. We ordered Crab Rice here twice now (one medium spicy and not). There medium spicy is really hot for me, that is why we also ordered the non spicy one. We always partnered it with Nanda's Chicken, the restaurant across the street. So delicious. However, wait times for pick up at Zalathai will take 30 minutes. But totally worth it. We haven't tried there other menu, yet.
