So, I had a sausage dish that was extremely spicy way too spicy. After several additions of shaved parmigiana, it was edible. The drinks were good, and we loved our server.
Food was absolutely incredible. Pizza to start, scallops and a pasta dish for entrees. Our waitress, whose name I can't recall unfortunately was also wonderful. Really enjoyed our experience here and would return without question.
Living just blocks away, I try Oenotri about yearly to see if any improvements have been made in service and noise levels. They haven't. Last night service was very slow. We had to ask for water twice, we had to ask where our entrees might be after seeing the people next to us sit down, order and start eating their dinner before ours arrived. Server may have been new and definitely needed training. The owner was there but didn't seem to notice any issues. Do not go on a hot night thinking you will escape to a cool restaurant. It was HOT with the four of us having to fan ourselves to circulate the air and dodge the flies. Once the food arrived, it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed everything we ordered including starters and desserts. Maybe the chef should be in charge of the front of the house.
Experience was shockingly and disappointingly bad. They gave us burnt pizza not once but twice. Service was super slow. Server and manager Tyler was totally unapologetic and did not care that they tried to push subpar quality pizzas to customers. Not the way to treat customers.
Music too loud so conversation was difficult. Our food took a long time and our server never came back to ask if wanted another drink. Menu was limited, no specials and when we wanted to have coffee no decaf was available. Entre was too expensive for what it was.
