Buona Beef - Naperville

This place is even better than Portillo's! They serve Chicago-style Italian beef and sausage, and the Italian sausage here is among the best I've ever had.

I'm updating my initial review. I visited today and believe I was their second customer since they opened at 11 am. The cashier was incredibly friendly, and my order was prepared perfectly. Although I've had the 10-inch sandwich before, this one felt enormous, and I didn't get hungry again until around 7 pm!

We arrived just before closing for a couple of beers and an order of cheese fries. We received our food and were almost out of the parking lot when a younger guy, possibly named Michael, came running after us with the cheese for the fries—even though it was pouring rain! The food was absolutely amazing tonight. That guy definitely deserves a raise!

Great food and service. Just a note, you're missing out on some sales on uber eats. There is not an option to add a cup of cheese, or a cup of aus jus. Sometimes I want to add cheese to the kids meal for their fries, or add to my beef sandwich. I would be willing to pay extra for that.

Never heard of Buona before so of course I had to drop in for lunch. The croissant was soft and buttery, and the meat was tender. I could have done with a tad bit more richness of flavor which I thought I’d get with the cheese... but overall pretty good! Shockingly the Caesar side salad was Bomb! I know a strange accolade but definitely get you a side of the greens!
