Gyu-kaku Japanese Bbq - Naperville

Jackie was a wonderful server! She explained everything thoroughly and made our first experience great! Delicious food and fun environment. Our kids loved it!

It was a wonderful meal with my family. Food was terrific and we always love the experience!

This location compared to the ones in the city is horrible!! Yeah the location is nice in Naperville, but the service here is awful. Since we've been to the ones in the city we know how things work. Here they sat us at a table where the grill was barely hot enough to heat our broccoli. We were there over all hour and barely got to eat our main entrees because the grill just never got hot enough. We told the waitress and she tried changing out the grates, she moved the burner underneath around, she removed the top part to give it more oxygen she claims. The grill was simply broken. The ones in the city cook food fast and it's hot like it's supposed to be. It literally took 10 minutes to cook one piece of meat!! We asked to be moved several times. The waitress just kept trying to fix it and kept saying let me go see what they say regarding us being moved. She never really tried to move us, just kept putting it off it seems. Eventually we got fed up and spoke to the manager and let him know the situation. When we spoke to him he did apologize and offered to move us. At this point though we were just over the whole experience and it was disappointing. The food was left out too long to even feel safe to eat it because it took so long to cook! We didn't get to enjoy our meal because of the bad service. If we had been moved the first time like we asked, it could've been a better experience. We won't be back to this location!!
