F.g.smith Eatery - Napier

We really want to love this café since it's our go-to spot, but we find it hard when we can get a big mocha for $6 without marshmallows here, while just a 2-minute drive away at Café Nosh we can get a bigger mocha with marshmallows for $5. We've been to FG Smith several times and every time we've found the staff to be arrogant and unfriendly. They seem to only do the bare minimum when it comes to service. It's especially disappointing when we have guests with us, as the café's appearance is quite appealing.

I asked to speak with the manager this morning because my experience was extremely disappointing. Being given an extra lemon slice was not enough to improve the lackluster meal. Paying over $300 and being treated poorly was unacceptable.

The food was awful, the staff didn't pay attention to our order, and they botched my mother's toasted sandwich twice. They were very impolite and claimed they refunded us, but we never received the money back on our cards. It was very disappointing as we had taken my mother out for a special treat.

Great place to chill, lovely fresh food at a good price and their house made kombucha is incredible!

Best cafe in Napier. The hang over duck fried rice is AMAZING
