I don't know what the others are on about. My partner and I were in Ahuriri for a casual date night and got hungry. This place knows how to make great fish and chips! The batter on the fish was so crispy and clean tasting! The garlic butter chips were PERFECT! I'm always disappointed with soggy battered fish and overly buttered chips (without garlic flavour). These guys do it right! Thanks guys! We'll defiantly be back!
I normally smother my meals in tomato sauce, but I've found that it's really not necessary when I order from here. The thick chips are crispy and cooked to perfection. The prices are a bit on the higher side for takeout fish and chips, but when I'm looking to treat myself, this is definitely my go-to for a quick meal. I'm always satisfied. I wholeheartedly recommend the fish and egg burger paired with thick chips and a nice cold ginger beer, especially since I've been craving it during my pregnancy!
Incredible fish and chips! The best I've had on the North Island! The blue cod is super fresh, there's a great variety on the menu, and the staff are very friendly. Whenever we visit Napier for the day, we always make it a point to enjoy them on the beach!
This is our go-to restaurant. We've been there numerous times and have never had a negative experience. The blue cod is the best fish I've ever tasted, even to this day. The service is fantastic. My wife is gluten-free, and they accommodate her dietary needs, which is quite rare for fish and chip shops. Keep up the great work, Mark!
