Mel's Diner Golden Gate - Naples

Food was good overall. We got the prime rib, baby back ribs, and AYCE Fish. The fish was a little over cooked for the first 2 orders, but the third was perfect. Service was super-slow and was not really service with a smile ... but it was still good.

Ordered first time. Location was a bit packed, so thought it's good. Service is pleasant, unfortunately the food isn't at all. We ordered a pizza to go and when we opened the box at home we couldn't believe that this was the pizza. The pizza was burned and the pepperoni didn't look and especially taste good at all.

Great place for breakfast!! My husband had Mel's Skillet, which was just wonderful! I had Eggs Benedict and the Hollandaise wasn't what I'm accustomed to. It wasn't bad, just different. Service was good, our waitress was very attentive and kept the coffee coming!

We decided to go the Mel's for dinner at the Golden Gate location. The menu has such a variety and good prices. Our wonderful waitress was Desiree. So sweet, explained all the varius options and described the dished. Her service was OUTSTANDING!!! I highly recommend Mel's. Excellent food and friendly atmosphere!!!!

We ended up here after we unsuccessfully tried going to a nearby Waffle House. And we were so happy to find Mel?s diner and enjoyed the service and the food so much that we came back the next day. Kellie our waitress was so great that we asked for her again. She suggested some menu choices for us and they were all delicious. I might add that Kellie makes the best milkshakes???? Can?t wait to come back when we visit Naples.
