No hot water, so thanks to Jacko helped us with the actor manager to have access to another room for us showers. Unfortunately, the reception here is very limited, my...visa debit card has not worked at its Eftpos, so money had to be transferred via only rectification is in the actual office. All of French very arrogant to begin, The only Aussie here works Jacko he was excellent and really made our 3 days stay super! Restaurant closes at 7 pm! they have only offered hot chips... the prices are expensive here bring your own food!!!! would not recommend. Lots of space for your caravan, etc. The George himself please put this on your Bucket list this made our trip brilliant. We have kayaks for a few hours absolutely stunning and easy to do. Scene is so special. Too bad there were no real excuses working here, as customer service was little to none. The camp area/george is approx. 10klm by Adeles very hot, but toilets are here and clean.
When the property was dirty and the showers ran cold. No diesel and no food and the store was naked. Be sufficient and the campsite itself is beautiful and the Gorge spectacular. Hopefully, they can pull it together before it goes down as the staff we met while we're inexperienced, we'll make the effort.
What a sensational gorge. Just stunning. Unfortunately, Adels Grove is harmful. Our room was dirty, spider webs on the toilet, dirt in the shower, mud in the carpets and it stunk. It hasn't been cleaned for months. We weren't alone. We talked to bunches of guests and all had similar experiences. They had a broken toilet, another light, another one found cockroaches in their bed. The "restaurant" was dirty, the food was cooked on a dirty BBQ with Dodgy hygiene. Yuk! Great gorge is worth the ride. But don't stay at the property. Camping and being enough, it's much safer than this dirty place.
85 kilometers of rough road, but definitely worth the journey. We brought our partially open road van and, as long as you deflate the tires and drive slowly, it's manageable. We camped at Adels Grove, which was fantastic. The amenities are basic, but camping by the gorge in the Grove was truly enjoyable. There are spots further up where you can camp for more sunlight for solar panels, but it looked hot and dusty, so we stayed in the shade of the trees with our portable solar panels, which worked out well. You can have a campfire at your campsite, and despite it being a bit cool, the canyon was perfect for swimming and cooling off after hiking in the national park. We didn't dine at the restaurant or fish and chip shop. We took a few walks in the national park, but the highlight was paddling a canoe through the gorge. While you can drag your canoe into the second gorge, we were able to swap canoes with others who had already done it, making it easier for us. Truly an oasis in the middle of nowhere. It was an amazing experience.
Had a wonderful time with friends at this restaurant. It may be a bit dusty, but the facilities are good overall. The nearby Budjamulla National Park offers stunning scenery, and canoeing is a must-do activity.
