However, when we asked for two white wines, which could be redeemed with the vouchers, they were out of house white wine. We decided to order two chardonnays instead, which ended up costing us $16.00 (even with the member discount and happy hour). This was disappointing as we were looking forward to the free drinks. Additionally, we were not impressed with the restaurant's menu. The chicken dish we ordered was tough and unappetizing, while the garlic bread and side of fries we ordered were also subpar in taste and quality. The garlic bread, which was actually garlic cheese pizza bread, was undercooked and had to be sent back multiple times. Despite bringing these issues to the server's attention, the problems were not properly addressed. Overall, we were dissatisfied with the experience and do not plan on returning or renewing our membership. While some of the staff were friendly, there were others with bad attitudes. It seems that there is a lack of quality control in the kitchen, and we have never had a satisfactory meal here in the past.
The service was friendly and the speed at which the food was delivered was impressive given how busy the restaurant was. However, I felt that the kitchen staff could have done a better job checking the food before sending it out. My steak was supposed to be cooked medium rare, but it arrived without any pink in it. My pork belly, which was also part of the lunch menu, was decent but a bit dry. It was still edible and filled me up due to the generous portion size. Considering it was listed as one of their special dishes on the menu, I expected it to be cooked perfectly. The restaurant is located in a sports club, so remember to have a membership or check in with them if necessary, and dress accordingly. I saw some young people at the front who seemed to be enjoying their meals.
The entree was ok. The main meals which were all steak Rib off the bone. Eye fillet rib fillet and rump 2 with chips and salad And 2 with Idaho potato and coleslaw The meat was ok. Not great the chips were overcooked and the...salad was disgraceful just dumped on the plate. The Idaho potatoes swimming in sour cream coleslaw was like mush a total waste of $173 We will never eat again in that restaurant.
Excellent lunch options and friendly staff. Can get busy so book ahead if you don't want to wait for a table. Only $5.50 annual membership (adult) and you will receive a free $15 meal voucher on your birthday and a free drink voucher.
