This was due to a new menu that did not live up to the standards of the old one. The old menu had options for all types of diners, but the new menu left much to be desired. Unfortunately, 4 out of 5 of our hot dinners were overcooked and dry. My fish of the day was supposed to be cooked to medium, but ended up well done and served with unappetizing polenta. The steaks were also overcooked. The only saving grace was the well-prepared Caesar Salad. The absence of the delicious enter pizzas was also disappointing. Overall, I will not be in a hurry to return.
Been a long time since I've been here was scared to go back, but was quite surprised how things have changed, the restaurant is now in where the old public bar was and the menu has been totally revamped, food portions are very good size so value for money was really good, I was in a group of six and everyone totally enjoyed their meals some couldn't even finish, would not hesitate to now recommend this place.
We used to visit this restaurant often. However, the menu has changed several times, and the latest changes have made dinner too expensive for a regular weekly outing.
We visited Burpengary Tavern on a busy Friday night with a group of 11 people. All the meals were delicious and were quite large portions representing very good value for money. The service was also very good. Please note there is no playground for children though they do provide 'kids activity packs' for $2 with each children's meal. There's plenty of parking onsite and they happily takes bookings.
Felt like we wasted our hard earned here. Meals were very dry and to some degree burnt. Won't visit or recommend a visit.
