North Lakes Tavern - Narangba

I have attended this tavern since 2003, HOWEVER since they have hired a bar girl there I will not be returning until she goes! She is extremely rude, abrupt and has no service skills ! I'm not the only patron who feels this way so could only imagine this tavern has lost a lot of loyal customers.

Lunch rump here is pretty good value, but service wasn't crash hot. Best part really was the beers I had, so then I didn't let it bother me.

Have had the $10 lunch special several times.  We've had a steak, schnitzel and fish and chips.  For $10 and for lunch it wasn't huge but good enough.  Not amazing - but at least a nice enough setting (after you order and pay of course at the counter - I think we then picked up food via the buzzer system).  Got drinks separately from the bar.  KFC or other takeaway etc would cost you the same/or more and just in a takeaway box and noisier seating area and no alcohol obviously.  We think lunch special is quite good as tavern food is very expensive these days i.e. $24.95 is usually the special and nothing amazing.  Don't know if would be that impressed if went at night and if more expensive and meal size the same etc.  But good for reasonable lunch time special.  Hopefully the horrible reno works is over - last time we went there were diggers and bulldozers sitting in our laps and it was unpleasant to say the least.  Assume it would be all nice and new again now (hope so!!!)

The young man that served me was friendly but the food was no good at all. The chesse garlic bread was cold and the under side was covered with avocado. The main meal was less than impressive chips were cold i asked for a rare steak and got medium the salad was yuck the tomato was so old it was translucent. Will not be going back.
