Diaz has been a staple in the southern region for as long as I can remember. They used to have several locations throughout Homestead. I typically don't visit often, except for last-minute necessities like coffee, freshly made tortillas, or Cuban bread. However, they do offer a variety of cooked meals and daily lunch specials. I’ve tried their chicken soup, and it truly has that comforting, homemade quality that makes you feel like your grandmother just made it. I can imagine their other dishes are made with the same care and love. Keep in mind that Diaz is primarily a supermarket, so you won’t find items like Tylenol or other over-the-counter medications here (I discovered that this morning, haha). They carry most of the typical items you'd find in any popular supermarket, but they also offer a range of multicultural products that add extra flavor to your cooking. Overall, Diaz is a fantastic place to stop by, grab some delicious café con leche, pick up groceries, and even find homemade meals for those days and nights when you don’t feel like cooking!

This establishment is by far the most unprofessional I've ever encountered. When I attempted to place an order, the staff member informed me that she couldn't take my order because there were customers in the store. I requested to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for 10 minutes, only for them to hang up on me. When I called back due to the disconnection, my number was blocked. I remained respectful throughout the entire interaction, yet I was still blocked. I plan to report this restaurant to the Florida Department of Financial Services. I tried calling again and spoke with someone named Iznay, who hung up on me and treated me dismissively. I'm eager to speak to the owner, but they keep insisting that I call back on Monday as they cannot provide me with any information about the owner's identity.
