Ring alarm bells when the chef has a bad cough and wears a mask under his nose. The owner is on the computer in the corner without a mask and also has worrying the same bad cough. We are asked to show our Pass Sanitaire, but also ask the servant for his Pass Sanitaire. He says he only has one. Don't show us because his phone is broken.... We pay the bill, but signal our concerns, the owner tells the servant to get rid of us, yes we speak French) and in inaccessibility takes off his mask and continues to serve customers without mask. Food below average, management shows full disregard for risks related to Covid.
Large burgers and good atmosphere. No problem to have any of the burgers naked (without the bungalow) if you want
We were looking for somewhere informal for a weeknight supper and found this resto on Tripadvisor. It lived up to the great reviews already posted excellent burgers, generous portions and friendly staff, in a pleasingly quirky setting. We'll be paying another visit very soon!
I learned that 'Ricain ' is short for American and the burger of this name was better than 99% of the burgers we have in America. The meat was fresh, coarsely ground, the bread excellent, and all the toppings great. Plus nice fries and salad. And the service was fantastic, too. Portions have gotten bigger in France over the years and, for better or worse, portions are big here. Prices are high for a burger but I 'd say it was well worth it. I hope they 'll open a restaurant in the USA (and serve cassoulet, too). If so we 'll be there!
