I would say it's one of the places you have to eat at least once and more if the line is short because the food is good....and the prices are great. Service is friendly and the food does come pretty quick. I love that you can order spaghetti 2 or 3 ways so you can get a variety. I got the Greek Chicken spaghetti and the brown butter mushroom- the brown butter mushroom was delicious- I could eat a whole plate! The Greek Chicken was okay....compared to the mushroom. The bread they bring to the table is perfect was pasta or their chicken and rice soup! 4 adults ate and the bill was $55! Can't beat that!
Not too bad but not the greatest. We waited an hour and a half to get seated. The food wasn't bad. Our server was not the best. The tea was really good. I liked that I got to sweeten it the way I wanted to.
This is apparently an old Nashville institution. It's a steak and spaghetti house. Odd combo. Equal parts kitsch and camp, this is an old style family restaurant with a full bar and waiters in formal uniforms. The decor is old and dated. Service was prompt and courteous. The prices were reasonable and the food was decent. They bring out some tasty cheese crusted garlic rolls to start and all the iced tea is unsweet, so a small pitcher of simple syrup is provided to sweeten it. Steaks and pasta are the main attractions. The sirloin steak was maybe a bit over seasoned but cooked properly and tasty. And you can order pasta as a side- and oddly enough it works. I don't think I'd visit often, but I'm glad I did.
Ate there for lunch. Fantastic meal: pepper steak with side of pasta, totally recommend the garlic butter sauce. Nice friendly, cozy Southern atmosphere
Not impressed in the slightest. I ordered the 3-sauce spaghetti and the spaghetti was hardened like it had been sitting for awhile and there was very little sauce of any kind, barely enough to color a portion of the pasta. And what little sauce I had wasn't all that great. The cajun chicken sauce was the best one on the plate, but having been to New Orleans and Baton Rouge, there was little Cajun in it. The Greek sauce was a bit of red coloring the hard pasta and a large piece of onion. I can't even remember what the 3rd sauce was-- it was that underwhelming. I sure won't be back anytime soon. Why in the world this place is packed regularly absolutely bumfuzzles me. Although our server was a very sweet young man.
