Contribuisci feedbackA favorite restaurant in trendy 12 South! I discovered I love beef tongue. What? First time was dynamite, sliced thin with a light sauce. It was as good as any filet. 2nd try it was different, shredded in a too salty heavy gravy. Couldn’t really tell what I was eating except SALT! Please go back to the tender, tasty fresh slices! Other dishes are just so well done. Josephine’s is a surprising hidden gem. You can always get in too!
Amazing as always! Sad to see them closing. The duck fat hash browns and scrapple are amazing.
Absolutely every bite was perfect. Every dish was flavorful and we loved sharing the Dutch Pork Buns. The duck was cooked perfectly and the crab cakes really burst with seasoning. Overall, loved everything and am so sad to hear they are closing. Josephine’s last day open is Saturday (12/23), so enjoy while you can!
Unfortunately this place is closing due to neighborhood development, but such a wonderful atmosphere and amazing fare! This is a jewel that it's a shame to lose!
This was my first time at Josephine’s and I’m glad I made it before they closed their doors! The service was impeccable, the food was superb, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the restaurant itself was quite spacious. I was so sad to learn that Josephine was closing their doors this month after a decade in business, so I’m glad I made it in for the first time! I ordered their happy hour double cheeseburger with a glass of wine and shared the duck fat hash browns and cornbread. Delectable! For such a nice restaurant and prime location, the price tag was more than reasonable and absolutely matched the service received. If you have a chance to visit this 12 South staple before they close their doors for good, please go!
