Place is nice inside. Seating a little better than we've found in other restaurants around Nashville. Our server was very friendly and treated us well. The food, was average at best. I got the Hoosier Pork Tenderloin and was disappointed. The only part of it that had any flavor were the pickles. Size of the tenderloin was as it should be, but the meat and breading had no taste to it. It was just there. Same with my wife's salad. The fried chicken pieces in her salad were there but very overcooked and bland. I will say that I was happy with the onion rings and the sauce that came with them. I won't cross it off our list of places to visit again, but I won't be in a hurry to go back. We'll have to see. They seem to have a good drink menu, but since we don't drink alcohol that has no appeal to us.
Went for dinner on a Monday night while visiting in the area. They get points for being open on a Monday as so many of the dinner places are only open Wednesday through the weekend. We got there about 6 and it wasn’t very busy, maybe a dozen tables. Our waitress was helpful and pleasant. The food came out fairly quick. I had the salmon without the cucumber sauce or rice. I got one side with the meal and they let me get a second to make up for the rice. I got the vegetables of the day which were grilled zucchini, summer squash, peppers and onions (really good) and the farm fresh sliced tomatoes. The salmon was well cooked and flavorful, but the veggies and tomatoes were even better! The waitress said this was the perfect time for tomatoes and it won’t be like that the rest of the year. My husband got a bowl of chili and the chips and queso. It was good but chips outlasted the queso. The chili tasted like it was made there and not anything prepackaged. Our friends both had the pork tenderloin and while they were hoping for the really thin pounded tenderloin like at the state fair, they were happy with the sandwiches. I would definitely go again if in the area. A solid menu with decent prices.
Fun place with a wonderful atmosphere. Nice selection on menu. Not just typical bar food either. Will be back
Great little hideout behind the restaurant is a pub and that’s where you wanna go. Horse racing on the TV! And ciders in the cooler. You would have thought they were waiting for us… definitely were the local folk hang out. They were looking at us as to say how did you find out about this place. We didn’t eat any food here, but we overheard a few of the tables talking about how delicious their food was and the folks that were sitting next to us said that that was their second time eating dinner here. It was the best place in town. They wish they would’ve known about it sooner..
