I just found it by looking for local restaurants. had no pupusas and decided why not. I wasn't disappointed. small space, but large with the ease of the staff. I had the repressants and they were so dangful and they are not on portions, really good size, I ordered 4 and was made with 2. highly recommended to come here.
I love her tamales and pupusas. the personal was great.
We were in an airbnb near the looking for a place for dinner that was not a chain restaurant; something that is harder and harder to find. we chose this pupusiera because we were not very familiar with el salvadoran good, and we love to try different foods. it is not a beautiful place, two walls of stands, a few tables and a counter. the staff was very friendly, and our waitress went through what the dishes were. we let ourselves with a series of chicken pasteles, and 2 comb plates with pupusa, a tortilla with meat and cheese boiled in a diligent, served with a swallow, a selection of sauces and roasted beans. it is about the scope of a review to explain el salvadoran food, but the food was excellent, the personal was friendly and cared for us, and it was a cheap meal. it is another taste of Mexican food, but very pleasant. if they are in the opposite, please stop them and try to eat them.
Food here is a 5/5. I didn’t realize pupusas could be this delicious with just a handful of simple ingredients. These are small tortilla-like breads stuffed with pork and cheese. The simplicity of the ingredients paired with the excellent green hot sauce and vinegar cold shredded cabbage makes for an excellent experience.I had both their pupusa revuelta as well as the pupusa y chicharron. While both were good, I preferred the chicharron one more since it had crispier pieces of pork and had more fat content.I tried a little bit of their pupusa with loroco. It had a distinctly different smell and flavor, and it wasn’t something I would get again since it wasn’t as good as the others. If you are really hungry, go with 3 pupusas. If you aren’t ravenous, 2 will be a decent amount. They serve a small ramekin of a coleslaw that has some vinegar and sugar. I found that having this with the pupusa and green hot sauce was perfect. You would get the heat from the sauce, the chewy and savory flavors from the pupusas, and then the sweet, tart, and crunch from the veggies. The ONLY reason I even take away one star is from the cleanliness of the establishment. When looking under tables, this place left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. The biggest issue was that I saw the biggest cockroach that I’ve ever seen, just walking through the restaurant like it owned the place. Thankful I only noticed this AFTER my meal. This was easily a 3-inch cockroach.Overall, I would come here again, maybe to take-out next time just to avoid running into any bugs. The food is exceptional though.
