Smokin Ricks' Hickory House - Nashville

As someone who's new to Nashville, I had never heard of this restaurant before. When my partner took me here for a work lunch, I was skeptical about the food living up to the hype. Boy, was I wrong! The meat was outstanding—some of the best I've had since my mom's cooking. The hamburg steak was simply the best I've ever tasted. The service was quick and incredibly friendly. I love how Nashville feels like a place where everyone knows each other, and the folks at Smokin Rick's certainly embody that spirit. I can easily see this place being featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with rave reviews. I can't wait to come back for some more BBQ, hopefully later today!

I was visiting the city from South Florida and had breakfast at this restaurant, which was fantastic. The pancakes were so delicious that the crispy bacon didn't overshadow them; it wasn't greasy at all. The bisque and gravy were amazing. I wanted to come back for more food, but I didn't have the chance. This place offers great food, reasonable prices, and excellent staff.

The food is consistently excellent, and the service is attentive and friendly.

Just traveling thru and found this place. It was very good, staff was excellent.

A local recommended this place, I’m glad we went! Very reasonably priced and very delicious. I took a bite and said “Wow!” and my 7 yr old son said “we should definitely eat here again”. Took about 10-15 minutes to get 3 sandwiches using the drive thru—we were the only car—so not super fast. But definitely worth it! The drive thru is very narrow and the parking lot is small so larger pickup trucks or anyone with a trailer will have to find parking nearby
