The Cafe By Dbyd - Nashville

A rustic and charming place in a rather unpleasant location (the second floor of Grace's Plaza in Green Hills, near the County Clerk's Office), this Jamaican restaurant is a great find! I was immediately greeted by the co-owner and chef who seemed delighted to see us. He put us and the server took our drink order and brought along beignets. I ordered the goatery that came on a large plate with rice, plantains and cabbage / carrots. The food was excellent! I ordered my spy, and it came sharp, but not excreted... It had kick, but it was totally edible. I recommend this restaurant. Because of their location, I don't feel many people know they're here and I want them to stay here! Your food is wonderful! Please try it!

My wife and I celebrated our 28. Wedding anniversary. It was our first time to eat here. As a rule, we would not try something new at special occasions, tried and true farewell. But we heard so great things about the cafe that we decided to take a chance. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. It is our new favorite restaurant!

A wonderful surprise! At the top of Grace's place, there's the best Jamaican restaurant I've ever found. Warm Caribbean cuisine in a simple but elegant environment. Friendly and quick service and the best curry goats I had ever cooked outside of home. Do not walk because the situation is strange and we need these people. They don't serve alcohol, but you can use brown bags. Walk through the bank and up the stairs or elevator and stairs at the southern end of the building.

The food was excellent and the service was top notch. They were friendly, honest in the taste of their food, and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We had red snapper and curry chicken, but we will be back for their most popular Curry Goat.

This place was simply amazing! From the ambiance to the food I was pleasantly impressed. The food (I had the curry goat) was savory and the service was satisfactory. Our server was fully knowledgeable on the menu and gave great recommendations on what we should order. Every time I'm in Nashville I'll be sure to stop here to eat!
